Karl`s Woodfire Pizza N`More in Nakusp

"Best food in the kootenays, possibly the world" Had a boot of the dark beer "More pure than mother's milk." Mushroom schnitzel with spatzle "makes me want to immigrate". Congratulations Karl and staff, I never want to eat any where else.

I'm not even done eating yet and I had to rate this place. German inspired menu and beer. The pizza was incredible!!! I was savouring it. I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this place out! You won't regret it!

Visited Nakusp to enjoy the local Hot Springs. Because they were so awesome we ended up soaking too long and my lovely girlfriend claimed to be too wrinkly from the water to cook. So we opted for the local pizza instead, turned out to be a great choice! We filled our bellies, dried out our skin and then did it all over again in a nightime soak. Will repeat again!

Was visiting Nakusp from Ontario. Was told they had best woodfired pizza. Walked by at 3pm on our way out of town and sign says opens at 4pm. Came back at 4pm and another sign put on door to say they will open at 5pm.

The pizza was delicious. Karl, the owner, was full of personality and good stories. There were also two delicious German beers on tap.

Went to Karl's for pizza at lunchtime and schnitzel at supper Both were wonderful. Even my foodie (and schnitzel aficionado) partner gave favourable reviews

Nasty tasting "spatzel" pizza poor. closed more often than open. German food specialty. I've been told they have a Great selection of overpriced Import beer.

The worst pasta ever! Way to salt and slightly undercooked. Lasagne was frozen on the inside and the cheese was burned. This is straight insult to the Italian kitchen.

Karl is phoning it in these days. Canned mushrooms, small portion of tough schnitzel and the spaetzle had zero taste. The salad wasnt too bad, probably the best thing on the plate. Way to expensive. My wife made schnitzel at home last week and it was amazing. You could eat hers with no teeth it was so tender and my mouth waters thinking about the taste.

Take out pizza was edible... barely, lasagna not so much. Burnt to a crisp dry limited sauce and cheese. Won't be back😠

Always a highlight of our summer trip to Nakusp to stop in at Karl's once or twice (or 3 or 4 times a trip)!

Great food, friendly staff

It all looked, smelled and sounded so good we splurged and ordered pizza, pasta and schnitzel. The portions are large and everything was delicious. Fresh local ingredients and EVERYTHING was made for scratch. Definitely recommendnto anyone travelling through the area.

Ordered 12in Hawaiian to go while stopped for camping for the night. Was burnt about a 1/4 of the crust, like it wasn't turned and tasted like cardboard. Waitress was pleasant while the baker seemed miserable and was only interested telling jokes with a group of drunken tourists. Not recommended

Given the obvious problems with your business based on the ratings, perhaps you should concentrate on improving the quality of your business instead of trying to change the name of the town to "cash in".

The pizza's you are served taste very good, it's just sad that the classics aren't on the menu. Would recommend it if you're in for a surprise, if you're in for a different kind, but still very tasty pizza. We were served by a very kind waitress, which made us feel welcome. Would come here again, even though there isn't much to choose from.

Drinks come out of cans, the ice tea we ordered tastes almost expired. They only have up to a medium sized pizza, (twelve inch) and you get no free refills, even for children. The cheapest pizza is also Cheese, 15 dollars for a medium size. They also only have three types of salads, none of them being Cesar Salad. If you are coming here for a nice dinner i would advise you not to, but if you want to come here to get wasted please do.

Delicious pizza! Not overly fast but fresh and yummy (& pizza is not my favourite food but I wouldn't hesitate to make it the place to eat when I am in town).

Extremely rude staff. Walked in there got yelled at by the guy cooking the food, because we didn't wait to be seated when the place was empty. Then the server was completely not paying attention to the huge brace on my leg and put me at a high table. Just inconsiderate and rude. Will never be back.

Honestly the worst meal in a restaurant I’ve ever had. It started off that the lasagna ordered was frozen in the middle and completely burnt on top. The server was nice enough to fix it but all the did was warm it up more and melt more cheese on top so the whole thing tasted like burnt. And way too salty, it tasted like over processed. Save your money and go to the grocery store!
